2.0 mm locking plates with overlapping holes can be used with our 2.0 mm locking screws, as well as 2.0 mm cortical or self-tapping screws. As with all locking plate systems, when paired with locking screws, precise contouring of the plate to the bone surface is not necessary. Leaving a slight gap between the plate and the bone helps preserve the periosteal blood supply. The closely spaced holes (6 mm apart) make these plates especially useful for handling small fragments.
