What it is
Osphos® is an injectable clodronate solution that supports bone health in horses.
When to use it
- For an adult horse with front-leg lameness linked to navicular (distal sesamoid) bone damage, as diagnosed by a vet.
- For a horse aged 4 years or over showing signs of navicular syndrome.
How to use it
Dose: 1.8 mg per kg, up to 900 mg per horse · Method: into the muscle, split equally across three separate injection sites.
Dispensed on a veterinary prescription — your vet sets the right dose.
How much is in the pack
The 15 ml vial contains 765 mg clodronate. For a 450 kg horse the dose is about 810 mg (around 16 ml), so one vial is slightly less than one dose.
