What it is
A.M.P.5 by Ceva is an energy-boosting injection for horses and dogs that widens the heart's coronary vessels.
When to use it
- For a horse or dog facing hard training or strenuous effort that puts heavy load on the heart.
- For an animal with low oxygen in the heart muscle.
- For an animal that needs an energy boost before hard work.
How to use it
Dose: horses 2.5 ml per 100 kg; dogs 0.5 ml per 10 kg · Method: into the muscle only · Every: one dose 24 hours before hard work and another 4–6 hours before.
Use the vial contents within 28 days of opening and discard any remainder.
How much is in the pack
For a 450 kg horse each injection is about 11 ml, so the 20 ml vial covers roughly one of the two injections. For a 10 kg dog each injection is 0.5 ml, so the vial gives about 40 injections, within the 28-day limit after opening.
