What it is
Cardisure® flavoured 1.25mg is a flavoured pimobendan tablet for heart failure in dogs.
When to use it
- For a dog diagnosed by a vet with congestive heart failure caused by valve insufficiency or dilated cardiomyopathy.
- For a dog with mitral or tricuspid valve regurgitation.
How to use it
Dose: 0.5 mg pimobendan per kg per day, split into two doses · Method: by mouth, one hour before food · Every: about 12 hours.
Dispensed on a veterinary prescription — your vet sets the right dose.
How much is in the pack
For a 10 kg dog the dose is 5 mg a day (4 tablets of 1.25 mg: 2 every 12 hours), so the 100 tablets last about 25 days.
