Every anesthesia machine will require an air break for use with an Anesthetic Gas Scavenging System (AGSS). The air break eliminates any induced flow from the patient circuit due to the negative pressure of the gas scavenging system. Unlike the Barnsley device, our air break features a visual flow indicator, an important safety feature since airflow is a relatively quiet process, and the air pump is installed at a certain distance from the point of use. Air breaks can be wall-mounted near AGSS outlets if you choose to use wall-mounted anesthesia machines or mounted on the frame of mobile anesthesia machines.
