API® MELAFIX fish treatment is a completely natural antibacterial remedy that treats infections in fish. Common bacterial infections include open wounds and abrasions, tail rot, eye cloud, and mouth fungus. MELAFIX treatment for fish also promotes the regrowth of damaged fins and tissue. The product can be used when adding fish to an aquarium—especially to ease the transition from the store to home—and if an infection is suspected but not yet diagnosed. Some fish purchased from pet stores may already carry diseases at the time of purchase, which can be difficult to detect in their early stages.

API MELAFIX treatment for fish will not adversely affect the biological filter, alter the pH level, or change the water color.

• Add 5 ml for every 10 gallons of aquarium water.
• For treating diseases or wounds, take the dose daily for 7 days. After 7 days, change 25% of the water.
• Continue treatment if necessary.
• To add new fish, take the dose daily for 3 days.
