API® MELAFIX fish treatment is a completely natural antibacterial treatment that addresses infections in fish. Common bacterial infections include open wounds and scratches, fin rot, cloudy eyes, and mouth fungus. MELAFIX fish treatment also promotes the regrowth of fins and damaged tissues. The product can be used when adding new fish to the tank—especially to ease the transition from the store to home—and if an injury is suspected but not yet diagnosed. Some fish purchased from pet stores may already carry diseases at the time of purchase, which can be difficult to detect in their early stages.

API MELAFIX fish treatment will not negatively affect the biological filter, alter pH levels, or change the water color.

• Add 5 ml per 10 gallons of tank water.
• To treat diseases or wounds, dose daily for 7 days.
• After 7 days, change 25% of the water.
• Continue treatment if necessary.
• To add new fish, dose daily for 3 days.
