The reeflexUV+e is the next step in Wi-Fi controlled technology from the reliable EHEIM UV water sterilizer reeflexUV. The principle of the patented reflector technology (with a significant increase in UV-C germicidal radiation) remains the same. While in traditional UV sterilizers, water flows around the UV burner through twisted paths, the EHEIM reeflexUV+e takes a more direct path. This results in no energy loss and saves energy, making it twice as efficient. The reeflexUV+e can be connected with other products from the EHEIM Digital family and can be controlled via Wi-Fi compatible devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.). For example, you can choose different modes, set times and intervals, and even switch to boost mode in case of significant parasite spread. The reeflexUV+e should be used to support the filter in reducing small organisms (germs, algae spores, etc.) in the aquarium. There are 4 models for tanks from 300 to 2000 liters. Special technology for pure water and healthy fish

In a UV purifier (also known as a sterilizer), aquarium water is passed in a thin film next to a UV-C lamp (the burner). UV rays penetrate the water and kill germs, algae spores, and other small organisms.

With traditional technology, water is exposed to radiation from only one side. However, EHEIM has installed a reflector so that the radiation is reflected and penetrates the water from multiple sides. This results in much higher efficiency with the reeflexUV+e device, which uses EHEIM's patented reflector technology.

Additionally, the EHEIM reeflexUV+e device does not have a complex water routing system. The water is not directed and flows around the burner without any twisted paths. This means there is no loss in performance.

AUTO-OFF also ensures maximum safety. Since UV-C rays are harmful to skin and eyes, the reeflexUV+e device automatically turns off when the unit is opened.

You should also know that:

Compared to natural waters, the concentration of bacteria in the tank is relatively high due to the lesser amount of water. It is important to reduce this and return it to a normal level. However, aquarium water cannot and should not be completely germ-free.

Only germs floating in the water are captured by the UV purifier. Cleaning bacteria associated with the filter (biological filtration), bacteria in the substrate, etc., are excluded.

Turbidity caused by bacteria or floating algae can be effectively removed by UV purification. In general, algae growth is curbed because the spores die.

UV purification devices generally ensure better fish health, as the risk of infection is reduced. It is highly recommended to use a UV purifier for breeding tanks. Serious pathogens often settle on eggs or infect young fish that do not yet have sufficient defenses.

In general, UV purification does not cause any change in water values.
