Feeding Instructions: Can represent up to 30% of the daily diet. To Bake: Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C). Mix the entire bag of mix with two whole organic eggs - without shells (remove yolks to reduce fat), 15 ml of high-quality organic vegetable oil, and 1 cup (235 ml) of water. Fill a greased loaf pan or cupcake molds and bake for 25-35 minutes. Do not bake in non-stick (PTFE-coated) pans, as fumes are toxic to birds. If prepared with added fruits, vegetables, or nuts, bird bread should be considered a "treat" and offered in limited quantities (not exceeding 10% of the daily Food portion when combined with all other treats). It can be served warm. Some flavors (vanilla, maple) or herbs can be added as long as they do not alter the nutritional content. Bird bread can be stored for one week in the refrigerator and up to 6 weeks in the freezer after baking. Bird bread can be divided into portions, wrapped in plastic wrap, and placed back in the Harrison's Bird Products bag for freezer storage. Bird bread should not be reheated in a plastic container.
