To help reduce waste, offer it as distinct meals.
The bird can eat as much as it wants, but use the Menu below as a guide.
Approximate feeding amounts of High Potency Super Fine (HPSF) and additional foods:
Canary / Finch: 1 - 1.75 g (1 teaspoon) of HPSF and ½ teaspoon of additional foods
Budgerigar / Small parrot: 1.5 - 3 g (1 - 2 teaspoons) of HPSF and ½ - 1 teaspoon of additional foods
Cockatiel / Lovebird: 2 - 5 g (1.5 - 3 teaspoons) of HPSF and ½ - 1 teaspoon of additional foods

Feeding additional items
Harrison's products should make up 75-80% of your bird's diet by size. It is recommended that 15-20% of the total diet be high-quality, preferably organic, vegetables and fruits. Items with dark yellow or dark green colors, such as sweet potatoes, carrots, squash, broccoli, parsley, spinach, mango, or papaya, are the most beneficial.
It is recommended that 5% of the total diet be high-quality, preferably organic, items that provide a rich source of Omega 3. Examples include chia seeds, hemp seeds, flaxseeds, or some nuts. See this article for more information on the reasons and benefits associated with including these items.
It is not recommended to feed supplements of vitamins or other additional products to birds or animals.
