Caris Bacteria House - Biological Filtration Media, 16×3.6 cm

Ceramic biological house media are ten times more effective than regular filtration, contributing to the cultivation of beneficial bacteria. They are heat-treated at 1300°C for 60 hours, breaking the internal bonds of the ceramic, leaving behind a very high amount of porous structure with a much larger surface area, allowing for the optimal proliferation and growth of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria. These conditions are critical for the rapid breakdown of ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates to improve water quality.

Thanks to the large number of small holes, mechanical filtration is also achieved. Large organic materials and decaying substances are decomposed much faster than with traditional media.
