The KITTY KOLLAR PROTECTIVE COLLAR, small size, is a washable fabric collar used in conjunction with an esophageal feeding tube (e-tube) in small cats and dogs. This collar replaces traditional bandages and offers a cleaner, more stable, and comfortable solution for managing feeding tubes.
Helps keep the feeding tube clean and protected from scratching or damage
Provides comfortable and customized fastening with a hook-and-loop (Velcro®) closure under the neck
Includes a small fabric loop for attaching ID tags or a bell, helping to keep the collar in the correct position
Machine washable for easy cleaning and reuse
Reduces the need for frequent bandage changes and veterinary visits for re-bandaging
Decreases the risk of wound injury by preventing scratching and reducing tight bandaging
Can be left on during X-rays, MRIs, chemotherapy, and other procedures
Outer layer: Printed cotton fabric or cotton/poly fabric
Inner lining: White cotton/poly fabric
Padding: Two layers of foam/poly fill
Backing layer: Soft flannel fabric next to the animal's neck
Place the protective pad (included) over the tube site on the skin
Slide the Kitty Kollar over the protective pad and secure it snugly under the neck using the hook-and-loop closure
Ensure the feeding tube passes through the buttonhole on the left side of the collar; secure the free end of the tube with Velcro® tape when not in use
Wash the collar regularly; machine wash and air dry only
Consult a qualified veterinarian to determine appropriate use based on species, body weight, and clinical condition
Each collar is individually packaged in a plastic bag with a laminated information card and includes six protective pads (sufficient for one to two weeks)
Available in multiple sizes; the small size fits animals with a neck circumference of approximately 9 to 12 inches (collar length about 11 inches plus the strap)
For animals with very long tubes (more than 8–9 inches from the neck opening), it is recommended to use the Double Velcro® version or a tube adapter
