MVE Dry Shipper: SC 4/2 V, Capacity: 3.6 liters
The MVE Dry Shipper SC 4/2 V is a high-performance vapor-phase shipping container designed to safely transport biological samples at cryogenic temperatures (–150 °C or lower). It features a vacuum-insulated aluminum body and a fiberglass-reinforced neck, with a hydrophobic absorbent material that retains liquid nitrogen and ensures dry, spill-free vapor-phase shipping.
Main Benefits
Durable and lightweight aluminum construction with a fiberglass neck for enhanced strength and thermal efficiency.
The hydrophobic absorbent material retains liquid nitrogen, preventing spills and eliminating the need for drying between uses.
Long static hold time of up to approximately 13 days, allowing for extended transport periods.
Low static evaporation rate (~0.26 liters/day) for efficient nitrogen use.
Shippable in less than two hours using QWick Charge technology when pre-cooled, facilitating same-day shipping.
Construction
Vacuum-insulated aluminum outer container.
Fiberglass-reinforced neck.
Hydrophobic absorbent material for liquid nitrogen retention.
One inner canister (approximately 278 × 67 mm).
Usage Instructions
Designed for vapor-phase shipping of biological samples under veterinary or professional supervision.
Charge with liquid nitrogen according to the manufacturer's instructions; when pre-cooled, QWick Charge technology allows for shipping in about two hours.
Ensure samples are correctly inserted into the inner canister; capacity varies depending on sample type.
Consult a qualified veterinarian or cryogenic specialist to determine appropriate loading and handling procedures based on type, sample type, and weight.
Package Size
One unit per package (container only).
Note
Capacity examples include up to 938 0.25 ml straws (loosely, single layer), or 440 0.5 ml straws (loosely, single layer), or approximately 95–102 vials (1.2–2.0 ml) depending on canister configuration.
Neck opening approximately 70 mm; overall dimensions approximately 468 mm in height and 222 mm in diameter.
