Absorbable gelatin sponge, sterile with a hemostatic effect. Flexible, water-soluble, and designed for hemostatic use when applied to a bleeding surface. When applied to bleeding mucous membranes, it will dissolve within 2-5 days. It should not be used on contaminated wounds. It can be used either dry or wet.
