Behaviors
Reduce stress, promote calmness, and improve focus
Horses are flight animals and may be prone to anxiety and nervousness in
unfamiliar environments (such as a new competition or training venue), which can lead to loss of focus and attention. Super So-Kalm® provides three key micronutrients to help the horse maintain a calm outlook and focus on its work. Magnesium - plays many important roles in the body, including muscle function, and is a major cofactor in enzymes, which are important in nerve signal transmission. A deficiency of magnesium in the diet can lead to increased neuromuscular excitability.
Calcium - works closely with magnesium and also plays important roles in maintaining proper muscle and nerve function. Vitamin B1 (thiamine) - plays a key role in nerve impulse transmission, as well as energy production. Super So-Kalm® also provides tryptophan, a key amino acid that can be converted in the horse's liver to produce the important vitamin B niacin.
For rapid support, use Super So-Kalm® paste in a convenient syringe on show day - for best results, it is preferable to administer 2-3 hours before the event.
