Reduce stress, promote calmness, and improve focus
Horses are animals characterized by fear and flight, and they may be prone to agitation and nervousness in unfamiliar environments (such as a new competition venue or training place), which may cause them to lose focus and attention. The Super So-Kalm® product provides three key micronutrients that help the horse maintain a calm demeanor and focus on its work. Magnesium - plays many important roles in the body, including muscle function, and is a major cofactor in enzymes, which are important in nerve transmission. A lack of magnesium in the diet can lead to increased neuromuscular excitability.
Calcium - closely interacts with magnesium and also plays important roles in maintaining proper muscle and nerve function. Vitamin B1 (thiamine) - plays a key role in nerve signal transmission, as well as energy production. The Super So-Kalm® product also provides tryptophan, a key amino acid that can be converted in the horse's liver to produce the important vitamin B niacin.
