It contains the glucocorticoid dexamethasone, which has ten to twenty times the anti-inflammatory activity of prednisolone.
Active ingredients:
Each ml contains 2 mg of Dexamethasone as Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate 2.63 mg. Benzyl alcohol 15.6 mg is included as a preservative.
This preparation contains the sodium phosphate ester of dexamethasone, a fluoromethyl derivative of prednisolone, which is a potent glucocorticoid with minimal mineralocorticoid activity.
