Main Features:
• Filter material for removing silicic acid (silicates) in freshwater and saltwater to prevent diatoms.
• Rinse, then fill the filter bag (included) and place it in the filter. Rinse after one to two weeks.
• Diatoms can form as unattractive brown deposits on gravel, decorations, and plants.
• Silicate content can be checked using a silicate test. Result: values below 0.4 mg/liter of silicates prevent diatoms.
