PhosGuard quickly removes phosphates and silicates from marine and freshwater aquariums. Although PhosGuard is effective in both freshwater and saltwater, it works best in saltwater and is more needed in saltwater.

Instructions:
May generate heat upon initial contact with water. Pre-wet by adding it to twice the amount of freshwater, then rinse. For best results, PhosGuard should be rinsed before use and placed in a way that enhances water flow through it but not so that it tumbles against itself in the flow. It can be used in a canister filter, media chamber, box filter, or any high-flow area of a trickle filter. A filter bag is recommended. Use 85 ml (one-third cup) for every 200 liters (50 US gallons) of saltwater or 400 liters (100 US gallons) of freshwater.
