The Halo scanner features a reading range of up to 15 cm. The scanning area is 120 cm². The battery is rechargeable from a USB port on the computer or a USB power adapter. No need for batteries, rechargeable via USB cable to a laptop or desktop computer (not for Mac/Linux systems). Ergonomically designed, small, lightweight, sturdy, and non-intrusive to the animal being scanned. Reads all 15-digit FDX-B microchips and 10-digit FDX-A chips and EM4102 chips. It will indicate if a 9-digit encrypted chip is detected. The 15-digit chip is used almost exclusively throughout Europe. Reads thermal chips and will display the temperature from BioTherm microchips for temperature measurement.
