The AQUA ESSENTIAL water conditioner is a highly concentrated water conditioner that combines several benefits in one product, making regular water safe for fish immediately by removing chlorine, chloramine, and ridding it of common heavy metals found in water. The AQUA ESSENTIAL water conditioner instantly removes toxic levels of ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite in freshwater, saltwater, and planted tanks. Toxic ammonia is continuously excreted by fish through their gills, urine, and solid waste. Uneaten Food and decaying organic matter also contribute to ammonia levels. Small amounts of ammonia cause stress to fish; while large amounts of ammonia can kill fish. This unique formula binds ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate making them non-toxic and allows the biological filter to remove them more efficiently. Use it at startup and when adding or changing water or when ammonia, nitrate, or nitrite levels are high. When adding, moving, or quarantining fish, we recommend using the API STRESS COAT water conditioner, which is ideal for use with the AQUA ESSENTIAL water conditioner. Using the dosing cap on the bottle, add 5 ml per 50 gallons of aquarium water to treat regular water. Add 5 ml per 10 gallons of aquarium water to remove ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. We recommend waiting 24 hours after dosing and then performing a water change. If you dose within that 24-hour period, there is no risk to the animals/plants in your aquarium. Additional water changes are always beneficial to the aquatic system.
