The CO2 diffuser from Dymax, made of stainless steel, uses a special ceramic refinement. The quartz plate has an extremely smooth effect and a high dissolution rate that breaks a steady stream of CO2 into very small bubbles. These extremely small bubbles produce a much higher surface area to volume ratio compared to larger bubbles, facilitating the gas diffusion process in water.
