API pH Up, 16 OZ

API® pH UP pH regulator raises the pH levels in your aquarium to make the water more alkaline when levels drop significantly. pH is a measure of the acidic or alkaline conditions in water, where a value of 7.0 corresponds to a neutral pH, values around 7.0 are alkaline, and values below 7.0 are acidic.

Different fish species require different pH levels to stay healthy, so it is important to regularly test the water to ensure pH levels are where they should be. pH UP pH regulator is fast-acting, colorless, easy to use, and will not cause cloudiness in the aquarium water. Since it is phosphate- and nitrate-free, pH UP pH regulator will not encourage algae growth.

Determine the pH level in the aquarium water using the API pH test kit. To raise the pH, add 1 ml per 10 gallons of aquarium water.

Take another pH reading before adding another dose of pH UP pH regulator.

Some types of fish may be sensitive to pH level changes greater than 0.2 over a 24-hour period, so changes of this magnitude should be made with extreme caution.
