API® QUICK START nitrifying bacteria allow for the immediate addition of fish, as they instantly initiate the natural aquarium cycle with beneficial bacteria that convert toxic ammonia into nitrite, and then into harmless nitrate to help prevent fish loss in your tank.

Best used when starting a new aquarium, after water changes and filter changes, and when adding new fish to an existing tank.

API QUICK START nitrifying bacteria can be used in both freshwater and saltwater aquariums.

Add 10 ml for every 10 gallons of aquarium water
