Matrix is a highly porous bio-media that provides effective biological filtration for the removal of nitrogenous waste. Matrix is a solid, inorganic, porous body with a size of about 10 mm in diameter. Main Features:

• High-capacity biological filtration
• Controls ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate
• Extremely porous - vast surface area (>~700 m²/liter)
• Supports aerobic and anaerobic bacterial strains

Usage Instructions: Use 250 ml of Matrix for every 200 liters (50 US gallons) of water. Matrix can be placed in any type of filter and is particularly effective in canister filters. Matrix is large enough that most applications do not require a filter bag.
