Glider-Cal Calcium Supplement from Exotic Nutrition is specially designed for sugar gliders of various ages. The diet of sugar gliders consisting of fruits and vegetables contains inverse amounts of phosphorus to calcium. High phosphorus extracts calcium from their bones, making the bones brittle. Calcium deficiency will make the glider sick, then cause paralysis in the hind legs. Hind leg paralysis is very common in gliders that do not take a calcium supplement like Glider-Cal.
