Product Description Water flows from the basin through the overflow chamber or another overflow device (such as the AB Aqua Medic overflow box) to the filter. The water flow is split at a T-shaped piece. Part of it is directed to the Turboflotor Shorty Compact protein pump, while the rest flows directly through a mechanical sponge filter to the wet/dry biological filter. The water flow between the protein skimmer and the biological filter can be adjusted using two ball valves. From the protein skimmer, the water flows to a smaller but similar unit consisting of a mechanical filter and a wet/dry biological filter. From the biological filters, the water flows to the filter tank. Nitrate reducer and calcium reactor systems are supplied with water via side connections. This water is taken from the pressure pipe that pumps the purified water back up to the tank. To facilitate water supply to these filters, a dosing pump (SP 3000) can be used. The refill water tank is placed inside the filter tank on a plastic base. The refill (peristaltic dosing pump SP 3000) is equipped with a level sensor. It should be placed above the storage tank. The level sensor is installed in the filter tank and determines the optimal water level in the filter tank. During the installation of pumps and pipes, care must be taken to avoid creating resonance bodies, as these can cause - depending on the type of pumps used - annoying noises. The external filtration system Reef 2000 is placed in a separate glass tank. The Turboflotor 5000 Shorty Compact protein skimmer and two return pumps are placed next to the glass tank. The overall dimensions are 155 × 45 × 62 cm (length × width × height). The system consists of the following components: 1. Glass tank, dimensions: 90 × 45 × 40 cm (length × width × height). 2. Turboflotor 5000 Shorty Compact protein skimmer with mechanical (sponge) filter and suspended wet/dry biological filter filled with bacterial pellets. 3. Second mechanical sponge pre-filter with smaller wet/dry filter filled with bacterial pellets. 4. Nitrate reducer NR 1000 with integrated circulation pump. 5. Calcium reactor system KR 1000 with integrated circulation pump. 6. 2 pieces of Ocean Runner OR 3500 circulation pump. 7. SP 3000 refill pump, with level sensor. 8. Refill tank with hose connection for topping up evaporated water.
