ULTRAMAX is characterized by its large filter block. Patented solutions such as the pre-filter, dual ball valve system, and self-priming filter system ensure user comfort and high filtration performance.

Pre-filter

Aquael ULTRAMAX filters feature a large 1.5-liter pre-filter integrated into the unit cover. This design effectively traps large debris, significantly reducing the frequency of filter maintenance. Cleaning the pre-filter is easy; just lift the cover, remove the sponge from the basket, and rinse it under running water. This process does not require removing the unit from the cabinet, making maintenance simple and efficient.

Dual Ball Valve System

ULTRAMAX filters come equipped with a patented dual ball valve system, which addresses a common problem faced by fish keepers - water leakage when disconnecting the inlet and outlet hoses. This innovative system simultaneously closes the filter’s inlet and outlet as well as the hoses, preventing any uncontrolled water leakage and reducing mess during maintenance.

Self-Priming System

Starting the filter is easy thanks to the self-priming system. You only need to perform 2 to 4 strokes with the plunger to fill the filter with aquarium water. This simple mechanism ensures you can start the filter quickly without any complications.

Smooth Performance Regulation

Edit filter performance is intuitive and easy. The filter has a small clearly marked lever on the right valve for smooth and simple performance regulation. This design ensures that new users can easily adjust the filter according to their needs.

Effective Filtration

ULTRAMAX filters are designed for effective mechanical and biological filtration. They include several filter cartridges housed in baskets with a capacity of 1.9 liters. Depending on the model, there are 3 to 5 baskets, providing a total filter media capacity ranging from 6.3 to 10.10 liters. This setup ensures comprehensive filtration for a healthier aquarium environment.

Quiet Operation

The filter design reduces operational noise. The carefully designed impeller, its chambers, and the ceramic impeller shaft work together to ensure the filter runs almost silently. This makes it suitable for placement in quiet areas such as bedrooms or workplaces.

Low Power Consumption

ULTRAMAX filters are designed with energy efficiency in mind. The ULTRAMAX 1000 consumes only 15 watts, the ULTRAMAX 1500 consumes 16 watts, and the ULTRAMAX 2000 has a low power consumption of 17 watts (after a 30% reduction from previous models). This makes them cost-effective and environmentally friendly.
