The AGA from Bortron is designed to absorb organic anesthetic gases such as halothane and isoflurane. This method is not suitable for use with nitrous oxide because it is not absorbed by charcoal. The weight of the cylinder should be monitored so it can be replaced before it becomes saturated, as once saturated, any waste gases will simply be released into the working environment.
