You can use the EHEIM climacontrol+ to cool the water temperature on hot days or heat it on cold days, just as your aquarium inhabitants need.

The EHEIM climacontrol+ is our new electronic climate control device. You can simply set the ideal water temperature wirelessly - via smartphone, tablet, or PC/Mac. If the water temperature is too high, the device automatically cools it, and if it's too low, it heats it. The device monitors and controls everything.

It also gives you an early warning of any Disorders, such as if the required temperature is exceeded or drops by 2 degrees Celsius for more than 5 minutes, you will receive a warning message via email.

High external temperatures often cause the aquarium water to overheat in summer. This is extremely harmful to fish and all other living organisms. For example, if the temperature is too high, corals die in marine aquariums, and in freshwater aquariums, there is an oxygen deficiency and rapid algae growth.

The EHEIM climacontrol+ is the optimal climate control device for aquariums. It has low energy consumption and operates with an eco-friendly cooler.

Three climate control devices are available: S, M, and L - for aquariums up to 500, 1000, and 2000 liters and come with a 3-year warranty.

Important for marine aquariums:

The ideal temperature for coral reefs ranges between 24 and 26°C; above 29.5°C they die.

Important for freshwater aquariums:

The temperature should always be below 30°C. Above this degree, there is a risk of oxygen deficiency, inhibition of plant growth, and algae proliferation.

EHEIM climacontrol+ – Electronic climate control device with WLAN function and many advantages

The main task of the EHEIM climacontrol+ is to cool the aquarium water when the temperature is too high. It provides both cooling and heating functions.

In summer, high outdoor temperatures often lead to the aquarium water overheating - for example, in a small room that heats up quickly, in an attic apartment, under sunlight, etc. Even in aquariums closed from the top so that warmth cannot escape, heat accumulation sometimes occurs.

The EHEIM climacontrol+ offers a WLAN function. The WiFi control unit is used to set the optimal target temperature via smartphone, tablet, or PC/Mac. Once the temperature exceeds or falls below the target value, the device activates and cools or heats the water until the target value is reached. The current water temperature is always displayed. If the set temperature is exceeded or falls by 2°C for more than 5 minutes, you will receive a warning message via email.

The EHEIM climacontrol+ is considered a continuous flow unit and should only be operated with clean (filtered) water. For marine aquariums, this means using water from the filter tank (with a separate pump). In freshwater aquariums, it is placed behind the external filter. (Alternatively, operation via a separate pump - but with a pre-filter - directly from the tank is also possible here).

The EHEIM climacontrol+ operates with energy efficiency and is environmentally friendly. The refrigerant (R290) replaces ozone-depleting refrigerants, with a minimal Global Warming Potential (GWP).

When placing the unit, ensure that the ventilation openings always remain clear. The distance to walls, etc., should be at least 50 mm. In the base cabinet of the aquarium set, for example, suitable openings for the supply of fresh air and warm air must be provided (for more details, see the operating instructions).
