The reeflexUV+e is the next step with Wi-Fi control for the well-known EHEIM UV clarifier. The principle of the patented reflector technology (with a significant increase in UV-C germicidal radiation) remains the same. While in conventional UV clarifiers, water flows around the UV-C burner through winding paths, the EHEIM reeflexUV+e takes a more direct route. This means no energy loss and saves energy, making it twice as efficient. The reeflexUV+e can be linked with other products from the EHEIM Digital family and can be controlled via WLAN-supported devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.). For example, you can choose different modes, set times and intervals, and even switch to boost mode in case of severe parasitic infestations. The reeflexUV+e should be used to support the filter in reducing small organisms (bacteria, algal spores, etc.) in the aquarium. There are 4 models for tanks from 300 to 2000 liters. Special technology for clear water and healthy fish

In the UV purifier (also known as the UV sterilizer), aquarium water is passed in a thin film next to a UV-C lamp (burner). The UV-C rays penetrate the water and kill germs, algal spores, and other small organisms.

With traditional technology, water is sterilized from only one side. EHEIM has installed a reflector so that the radiation is reflected and the water is penetrated from multiple sides. This results in much higher efficiency with the reeflexUV+e device, which uses EHEIM's patented reflector technology.

Additionally, the EHEIM reeflexUV+e device does not have a complex water transport system. The water is not diverted and flows around the burner without convoluted paths. This means no loss of performance.

AUTO-OFF also ensures optimal safety. Since UV-C radiation is harmful to skin and eyes, the reeflexUV+e automatically turns itself off immediately when the unit is opened.

There are three different modes: "Constant", "Daily Cycle", and "Smart Link". The burning duration, time, intervals, etc., can be individually adjusted. There is a boost mode to combat acute parasite infestations. When it's time to change the lamp, a message is sent via email.

You should also know that:

Compared to natural waters, the concentration of bacteria in the aquarium is relatively high due to the small amount of water. It is important to reduce this and return it to a normal level. However, aquarium water cannot and should not be completely germ-free.

Only free-floating germs in the water are captured by the UV purifier. The cleaning bacteria associated with the filter (biological filtration), bacteria in the substrate, etc., are saved.

Turbidity caused by bacteria or floating algae can be effectively removed through UV sterilization. Essentially, algae growth is curbed because the spores are killed.

UV sterilizers generally ensure better fish health by reducing the risk of infection. It is highly recommended to use a UV sterilizer for breeding tanks. Serious pathogens often settle on eggs or infect young fish that do not yet have sufficient defenses.

In general, UV sterilization does not cause any change in water values.
