The EHEIM reeflexUV reduces microbes in the water and eliminates cloudiness more efficiently than ever before.

The EHEIM reeflexUV is another typical innovation from EHEIM: Thanks to an integrated reflector, the microbe-killing UV-C radiation is significantly increased, while in traditional UV sterilizers, water is directed through winding paths next to the UV-C burner. In the EHEIM reeflexUV, the water takes the direct route. There is no loss in performance, and less power is needed. The level of effectiveness is 1.8 times higher. The EHEIM reeflexUV should only be used in conjunction with the filter to reduce small organisms (microbes, algae spores, etc.) in the aquarium. Five models are available for aquarium sizes from 80 to 2000 liters.

The high-gloss integrated aluminum reflects UV-C light and ensures more efficient sterilization

Excellent results with low energy consumption (1.8 times more effective than conventional UV sterilizers)

No loss in performance as the special design prevents water redirection

Also ideal for breeding tanks as it reduces the risk of infection

Beneficial bacteria are safely retained in the filter as only floating organisms are captured.

AUTO-OFF: Safe automatic shutdown when changing the lamp

Easy installation using the included holder

Variable installation, no specific installation position or flow direction

Accessories: EHEIM UV-C lamp, mounting unit, ballast with power cable, 2x hose connection valves ø 12/16 mm, 2x hose connection valves ø 16/22 mm

Special technology for clean water and healthy fish

In the UV sterilizer, aquarium water is directed as a thin film next to the UV-C lamp (heater). The UV-C radiation penetrates the water and kills microbes, algae spores, and other small organisms.

With conventional technology, the water is irradiated from only one side. However, EHEIM has integrated a reflector, through which the reflected radiation penetrates the water from multiple sides. Thus, the reeflexUV achieves a much higher performance level.

Furthermore, the EHEIM reeflexUV does not have a complex water flow system. The water is not redirected and flows around the heater without convoluted paths. Therefore, there is no loss in performance.

AUTO OFF ensures optimal safety. Since UV-C radiation can cause damage to skin and eyes, the reeflexUV is immediately turned off when the device is opened.

What you should also know:

Compared to regular water, the bacteria ratio in the aquarium is relatively high due to the small amount of water. It is worthwhile to reduce this ratio and return it to a normal level. However, aquarium water should not be completely free of bacteria.

Only the bacteria floating in the water are captured by the UV sterilizer. Beneficial bacteria colonized in the filter (compare biological filtration) and bacteria in the gravel substrate are excluded.

Turbidity in the water, caused by bacteria or floating algae, is very effectively removed by UV sterilization. Essentially, algae growth is reduced as spores are killed.

UV sterilizers generally ensure healthier fish, as the risk of infection is reduced. A UV sterilizer is especially recommended for breeding tanks, where dangerous pathogens accumulate on the eggs or infect small larvae, which do not yet have sufficient resistance.

In general, UV sterilization does not cause any changes in water values.

The light source in this product is exclusively intended for disinfecting aquarium water.
