The reeflexUV+e is the next step controlled via WiFi from the proven EHEIM UV clarifier reeflexUV. The principle of the patented reflection technology (with a significant increase in germicidal UV-C radiation) remains the same. While in conventional UV clarifiers, water flows past the UV-C burner through twisted paths, the EHEIM reeflexUV+e takes a more direct path. This results in no energy loss and saves energy, making it twice as efficient. The reeflexUV+e can be linked with other products in the EHEIM Digital family and controlled via WLAN-equipped devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.). For example, you can choose different modes, set times and periods, and even switch to boost mode in case of severe parasite infestation. The reeflexUV+e should be used to support the filter in order to reduce small organisms (germs, algae spores, etc.) in the aquarium. There are 4 models for aquariums from 300 to 2000 liters. Special technology for pure water and healthy fish

In a UV purifier (also called a UV Antiseptic), aquarium water is passed in a thin film next to a UV-C lamp (burner). The UV-C rays penetrate the water and kill germs, algae spores, and other small organisms.

With traditional technology, the water is irradiated from only one side. On the other hand, EHEIM has installed a reflector so that the radiation is reflected and penetrates the water from multiple sides. This results in much higher efficiency with the reeflexUV+e, which uses EHEIM's patented reflection technology.

Additionally, the EHEIM reeflexUV+e does not have a complex water delivery system. The water is not diverted and flows around the burner without twisted paths. This means there is no loss in performance.

AUTO-OFF also ensures optimal safety. Since UV-C radiation is harmful to skin and eyes, the reeflexUV+e stops immediately and automatically when the unit is opened.

You should also know that:

Compared to natural waters, bacterial concentrations in the aquarium are relatively high due to the smaller amount of water. It is important to reduce this and return it to a natural level. However, aquarium water cannot and should not be completely germ-free.

Only germs floating in the water are captured by the UV purifier. Bacteria attached in the filter (biological filtration), bacteria in the substrate, etc., are saved.

Water cloudiness caused by bacteria or floating algae can be effectively removed through UV purification. Essentially, algae growth is curbed because the spores are killed.

UV purification devices generally ensure healthier fish, as the risk of infection is reduced. It is highly recommended to use a UV purifier in breeding tanks, where dangerous pathogens often settle on eggs or infect young fish that do not yet have sufficient defenses.

In general, UV purification does not cause any change in water values.
