Most aquarium inhabitants require variable (fluctuating) water currents, like those found in rivers or coral reefs, depending on their origin. With suitable circulation and/or flow pumps, you can achieve continuous movement - but how can you generate varied flow?
The EHEIM streamcontrol device offers the perfect solution. Simply connect the pump's power plugs to the included double connector strip, then turn on the device and adjust the flow intervals. Two programs are available: a) Alternating pump frequency and b) Synchronous pump frequency. You can simply set the time intervals using two dials.
Before feeding, use the stop button (Food) to halt the flow, and the pumps will stop for 10 minutes. After feeding, the selected program resumes automatically, or you can simply press the (Food) button again.
