The EHEIM aquarium heater is a further development of the legendary heating rod.

The temperature can be precisely adjusted from 18 to 34 °C and, if necessary, can be recalibrated (±2°). The temperature control accuracy is ± 0.5 °C.

Heat is maintained at a constant level. The heating function is indicated by a control lamp.

The rod is completely sealed against water, can be fully submerged, and features an automatic shut-off when dry (thermal safety control) and is suitable for both freshwater and saltwater.

One of the most important innovations is the glass cover:

- Increases the heating surface,

- Focuses heat, ensures ideal even heat emission and

- Forms a thermal shield (touching it does not harm marine life).

The cover is made of special laboratory glass developed for research purposes. Therefore, it is free from contaminants that may be released into the water. It is resistant to chemical and biological substances. It does not contain cracks or small fissures through which condensation can leak. Even extreme temperature fluctuations that may occur during water changes do not harm this glass.
