Mixing Instructions: Stir or shake one part of Esbilac powder into two parts of warm water (the part can be a teaspoon, tablespoon, or cup). Do not mix more Esbilac than can be consumed in 24 hours. Do not use a blender. Reconstituted Esbilac should be stored in the refrigerator. A 12-ounce can of powder makes approximately 60 ounces of liquid when mixed at a 1:2 ratio. A 28-ounce can of powder makes approximately 140 ounces of liquid when mixed at a 1:2 ratio. A 5-pound bag makes approximately 400 ounces when mixed at a 1:2 ratio.

Feeding Instructions: All puppies should receive their mother's milk for at least two days, if possible. Colostrum milk provides additional nutrition and temporary immunity against some diseases. Warm reconstituted Esbilac to room or body temperature before serving. Feed puppies two tablespoons (30 ml) of liquid Esbilac per 4 ounces (115 grams) of body weight daily. The daily feeding amount should be divided into equal portions for each meal. Puppies' needs will vary, and this amount may need to be increased or decreased per individual. Young and/or weak puppies should be fed every 3 to 4 hours. Older puppies can be fed every 8 hours. Weigh puppies daily to ensure adequate feeding. Consult your veterinarian for additional advice. A 2-ounce (60 ml) or 4-ounce (120 ml) small animal feeding device from Pet Ag is suitable for feeding most puppies. When puppies are old enough to eat, start offering reconstituted Esbilac in a dish. During the sixth week, mix reconstituted Esbilac with second-stage puppy Food Esbilac. Using Esbilac and the second stage will allow puppies to gradually transition to solid Food. Pregnant and Nursing Dogs: Feed two teaspoons (4 grams) of Esbilac powder per 5 pounds (2.2 kg) of body weight daily. Growing puppies already eating solid Food, show dogs, and/or dogs in recovery: Feed one teaspoon (2 grams) of Esbilac powder per 5 pounds (2.2 kg) of body weight daily as a Food supplement.

Storage: Unopened powder should be stored in a cool, dry place. Reconstituted Esbilac should be kept in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Opened powder can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 3 months or frozen for up to 6 months to maintain freshness.

When a nutritional supplement is desired for growing puppies after weaning, show dogs, supplementing large puppies, and older or recovering dogs, feed Esbilac powder at a rate of one teaspoon per 5 pounds (2.2 kg).
