Point the Exo Terra infrared thermometer at any desired object and with the click of a button the temperature will appear on a large, easy-to-read digital display.

The infrared thermometer can be used to determine the temperature of basking sites, hide caves and shelters, hibernation temperatures, incubation media, and reptile body temperatures, or to measure temperatures “on the spot” during field trips. To determine temperature gradients, the infrared thermometer will measure the ambient temperature as long as you press and hold the button, and once you release the button, the last temperature measured will be displayed.

A small LED targeting light helps you measure the correct point and shows the measured surface diameter. It also allows you to scan places that are difficult to measure in low light conditions, such as hidden caves inside caves, behind branches, under leaves, etc...
