Herbal Water Conditioner for Ornamental Fish against Ichthyophthirius multifiliis and other single-celled skin parasites
The Sera Phyto Med Protazid water conditioner contains the highly effective active ingredient quinine (in the form of hydrochloride) extracted from the bark of the cinchona tree, as an active agent. The water conditioner can be used to treat white spot disease in freshwater and saltwater fish, and against other single-celled parasites such as Ichthyobodo spp., Chilodonella spp., or Piscinoodinium pillulare in freshwater.
Ornamental fish in saltwater suffering from velvet disease can also be successfully treated using Sera Phyto Med Protazid.
Sera Phyto Med Protazid is very well tolerated by ornamental fish in both freshwater and saltwater. However, water treatment is not acceptable for invertebrates and algae. Sick fish should be treated in a quarantine tank, if necessary.
