Safe and simple, periodic pressure ventilation for small pets weighing up to 12 kg The SAV04 device includes a set of features to enhance control in continuous positive pressure ventilation (IPPV). The SAV04 device is an improved version of the old SAV03 ventilator and uses the same simple pressure cycle ventilation principles. In the redevelopment of the ventilator, features were added to improve patient control and enhance ventilation status monitoring. For example, there is now an automatic overpressure alarm that will sound if the target pressure is exceeded by 8 cm. There is also an alarm if the patient is disconnected from the ventilator, or if no back pressure is detected during the inhalation phase. These alarms are designed to be informative and are accompanied by explanatory text on the main screen. Additionally, an audible beep is produced with each successful breath. These beeps and alarms can be muted individually if necessary. There is a new valve design accompanying the new ventilator with two main benefits. First, the valve can be automatically adjusted to any other SAV04 device, allowing for easy switching or replacement of valves. Second, a larger opening in the valve's exit port means that the port can now support larger animals. The 12 mm diameter exit opening will now allow unrestricted expiration in animals up to 40 kg. It should be remembered that the operating principle still relies on a T-piece, so proportionally higher gas flow rates will be needed. However, with the advent of oxygen generators, operating such a system at 8-10 liters is possible for short-term or emergency use. The new screen now provides more information to the user. A central vertical graph displays the patient's airway pressure, allowing for quick assessments of system leaks and/or ET tube issues. Each inhalation period is now measured and displayed on the screen, as is the breathing rate. The SAV04 device provides a simple and safe way to ventilate your smaller and more vulnerable patients.
