for Cattle and Pigs

Solusafe PPU is an antibiotic based on 5% Ceftiofur, a third-generation cephalosporin with rapid bioavailability and a broad spectrum of activity, being effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including

beta-lactamase producing strains.

Active Ingredient: Each 100 ml contains - Ceftiofur (Hydrochloride) 5 grams

Indications for Use: Solusafe PPU is recommended for use in the following animal species:

Cattle: For the treatment of pneumonia caused by Pasteurella multocida, enteritis caused by Salmonella typhimurium and Escherichia coli, foot rot caused by Fusobacterium necrophorum,

and mastitis caused by Streptococcus dysgalactiae. It also helps in controlling and preventing postoperative and postpartum infections caused by organisms sensitive to Ceftiofur.

Pigs: For the treatment of pneumonia caused by Pasteurella multocida and Actinobacillus (Haemophilus) pleuropneumonia, enteritis caused by Salmonella choleraesuis and Escherichia

coli, and meningitis caused by Streptococcus suis type 2. It also helps in controlling and preventing reproductive, postoperative, and postpartum infections caused by organisms

sensitive to Ceftiofur. Administer as a deep intramuscular injection at a dose of 1.0 to 2.0 ml per 50 kg of body weight, equivalent to 1.0 to 2.0 mg/kg of body weight. Repeat treatment at 24-hour intervals for 3

consecutive days. No more than 15 ml should be injected at one site.

Dosage and Administration:

Pigs: The injection should be given as a deep intramuscular injection, preferably in the neck, at a dose of 0.6 to 1.0 ml per 10 kg of body weight, equivalent to 3.0 to 5.0 mg/kg of body weight. Treatment should be repeated at 24-hour intervals for 3 consecutive days. No more than 10 ml should be injected at one site.

Withdrawal Period: Cattle - Slaughter: Animals treated with this product should not be slaughtered until 3 days after the last application. Milk: No withdrawal period is required for milk.

Pigs - Slaughter: Animals treated with this product should not be slaughtered until 2 days after the last application.

Storage: Store the product in a closed container in a cool, dry place at room temperature (15°C to 30°C) away from sunlight.
