Aquavitro Shrimp pHa is part of a dual system that helps mimic the water chemistry found in the natural living environments of freshwater shrimp by regulating the water's acidity level to match the natural acidity level for each specific type of shrimp. When used according to directions, Shrimp pHa maintains appropriate acidity standards for freshwater shrimp while also softening the water and supporting plant growth in shrimp aquariums. Shrimp pHa consists of a unique buffer system that is highly stable and does not add sodium, which may harm plants in the aquarium.

Directions:
Use when setting up the aquarium and when making water changes. Use with Shrimp pHb to target acidity levels. All mentioned dosages are intended for a volume of 20 liters (5 US gallons). Dosages can be safely doubled if necessary. In cases of sensitive shrimp or to avoid the risk of shock from changes in acidity levels, it is preferable to divide the doses over a period of 12 to 24 hours.

To simply lower the acidity level in existing aquariums: Add 2.5 ml (½ teaspoon) of Shrimp pHa for every 20 liters (5 US gallons) every 12 hours until the target acidity level is reached. Do not exceed this dosage. Rapid changes in acidity levels can be very harmful to shrimp. Some aquariums may require repeated doses to overcome the buffering capacity of certain substrates and decorations. This is especially true for humate-based soils.
