Fosguard rapidly removes phosphates and silicates from marine and freshwater aquariums. Although Fosguard is effective in both freshwater and saltwater, it performs best in saltwater where the Order is more specific.

Usage Instructions:
Heating may occur upon first contact with water. It is recommended to pre-moisten the product by adding it to twice its volume of fresh water, then rinse. For best results, Fosguard should be rinsed before use and placed in a way that maximizes water flow through it without rolling against itself in the flow. It can be used in a canister filter, media chamber, box filter, or any high-flow area in a drip filter. A filter bag is recommended. Use 85 ml (one-third cup) for every 200 liters (50 US gallons) of saltwater or 400 liters (100 US gallons) of freshwater.
