Fluorite Black Sand is a stable, porous clay gravel specifically cut for naturally planted aquariums. Its appearance best suits planted tanks, but it can be used in any freshwater aquarium environment. Fluorite Black Sand is most effective when used alone as a base sand layer, but it can be mixed with other gravel. Materials like laterite are not necessary.

Usage Instructions:
Although pre-washed, since Fluorite Black Sand is a natural product, it may become dusty during transport and requires rinsing before use to remove any remaining dust.

When adding water to the aquarium, it is preferable to fill it slowly to avoid disturbing the Fluorite Black Sand layer. Place a bowl in the aquarium and add water directly into the bowl, allowing the water to gently flow over the gravel layer. Initial cloudiness is normal. To remove the cloudiness, use mechanical filtration (such as a floss filter). Use the Clarity product to speed up the clearing process.
