API® NITRA-ZORB product is a ready-to-use filtration media that can be added to the water filter to remove ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. The NITRA-ZORB filtration media consists of natural and synthetic ion exchange resins that selectively remove toxins from freshwater aquariums. The NITRA-ZORB filtration media is completely phosphate-free and can be reused after shipping recharge. 1 package - size 6. >> Rinse the package under running water. Place the package in the water flow path of the aquarium filter. For a new aquarium or when ammonia or nitrite is detected: recharge every 5 days in the first month, then every two weeks in the second month. For a stable aquarium: recharge every two weeks. When nitrite is detected: recharge every 5 days until nitrite is reduced to 20 parts per million (mg/L) or less. Replace the package after two months. For shipping recharge:

• Dissolve 4 tablespoons (80 g) of API aquarium salt in 8 ounces (240 ml) of warm water.
• Soak the package for two hours, then gently rinse it under running water.
• When not in use, store the package in a shipping recharge solution.
