The EHEIM reeflexUV device reduces microorganisms in the water and removes cloudiness more efficiently than ever before.

The EHEIM reeflexUV is another distinctive innovation from EHEIM: thanks to the integrated reflector, the effectiveness of the UV-C rays that kill microorganisms is significantly increased. While water in traditional sterilizers is directed through winding paths around the UV lamp, the EHEIM reeflexUV allows water to travel in a direct path. There is no loss of performance, you need less power, and the level of effectiveness is 1.8 times greater. The EHEIM reeflexUV should only be used with the filter, in order to reduce small organisms (microorganisms, algae spores, etc.) in the aquarium. Five models are available for aquariums with a capacity from 80 to 2000 liters.

The integrated shiny aluminum reflects ultraviolet (UV-C) light and ensures more efficient sterilization

Excellent results with low energy consumption (1.8 times more effective than traditional sterilizers)

No loss in performance as a special design prevents water redirection

Also ideal for breeding aquariums as it reduces the risk of infection

Cleaning bacteria are safely retained in the filter where only floating organisms are captured.

Automatic shut-off: automatic safety cut-off when changing the lamp

Easy installation using the included mounting bracket

Variable installation, no specific installation position or flow direction

Accessories: EHEIM UV-C lamp, mounting unit, adapter with power cable, 2 hose connection valves ø 12/16 mm, 2 hose connection valves ø 16/22 mm

Special technology for clean water and healthy fish

In the UV sterilizer, aquarium water is directed as a thin layer passing through a UV-C lamp (heater). The UV rays penetrate the water and kill microorganisms, algae spores, and other small organisms.

With traditional technology, the water is exposed only from one side. However, EHEIM has installed a reflector, through which the reflected rays penetrate the water from multiple sides. Consequently, the reeflexUV device achieves a much higher level of performance.

Furthermore, the EHEIM reeflexUV device does not have a complex water flow system. The water is not redirected and flows around the heater without any twisted paths. Thus, there is no loss in performance.

The automatic shut-off system ensures an optimal level of safety. Since UV-C rays can cause damage to the skin and eyes, the reeflexUV device stops immediately when the device is opened.

What you should also know:

Compared to regular water, the number of bacteria in the aquarium is relatively high due to the small amount of water. It is beneficial to reduce this number and return it to a normal level. However, aquarium water should not be completely free of bacteria.

Only the bacteria floating in the water are captured by the UV sterilizer. The cleaning bacteria colonized in the filter (compare biological filtration) and the bacteria present in the gravel substrate are excluded.

Cloudiness in the water, caused by bacteria or floating algae, is efficiently removed by UV sterilization. Essentially, algae growth is inhibited because the spores are killed.

UV sterilizers generally ensure better fish health by reducing the risk of infection. A UV sterilizer is especially recommended for breeding aquariums, where dangerous pathogens colonize the eggs or infect young fish, which do not yet have sufficient resistance.

UV sterilization generally does not cause any changes in water values.

The light source in this product is exclusively intended for sterilizing aquarium water.
