The reeflexUV+e is the next Wi-Fi-managed step from the reliable EHEIM UV device. The principle of the patented inverter technology (with a noticeable increase in germicidal UV-C radiation) remains the same. While water in traditional purifiers flows around the UV-C burner through winding paths, the EHEIM reeflexUV+e takes a more direct route. As a result, there is no energy loss and it operates with double efficiency. The reeflexUV+e can be linked with other products in the EHEIM digital family and can be controlled via Wi-Fi-enabled devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.). For example, you can choose different modes, set times and periods, and even switch to boost mode in case of severe parasite infestation. In a UV purifier (also known as a UV Antiseptic), aquarium water is passed in a thin film next to a UV-C lamp (burner). The UV-C rays penetrate the water and kill germs, algae spores, and other small organisms.

With traditional technology, the water is irradiated from only one side. On the other hand, EHEIM has installed a reflector so that the radiation is reflected and penetrates the water from multiple sides. This results in much higher efficiency with the reeflexUV+e, which uses EHEIM's patented reflector technology.

Additionally, the EHEIM reeflexUV+e does not have a complex water guidance system. The water is not diverted and flows around the burner without convoluted paths. This means there is no loss in performance.

You should also know that:

Compared to natural waters, the concentration of bacteria in the tank is relatively high due to the small amount of water. It is important to reduce this and return it to a natural level. However, aquarium water cannot and should not be completely germ-free.

Only the germs floating in the water are captured by the UV purifier. The cleaning bacteria associated with the filter (biological filtration), and bacteria at the bottom, etc., are saved.

Water turbidity caused by bacteria or floating algae can be effectively removed by UV purification. Essentially, algae growth is curbed because the spores are killed.

UV purification devices generally ensure healthier fish, as the risk of infection is reduced. It is highly recommended to use a UV purifier for breeding tanks, where dangerous pathogens often settle on eggs or infect young fish that do not yet have sufficient defenses.
