Equiplazone Oral Powder contains phenylbutazone ("Bute"), an anti-inflammatory and analgesic medication.

Indications for Use: Equiplazone^® 1 gram oral powder is indicated for the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders in horses and ponies where the anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties of phenylbutazone can provide relief, for example, in lameness associated with arthritis, acute and chronic laminitis, bursitis, and carpitis, and in reducing soft tissue reactions following surgery.

Dosage:

Horses weighing 450 kg (1000 lbs): Administer two sachets twice on the first day (equivalent to 8.8 mg/kg/day) followed by one sachet twice daily for four days (4.4 mg/kg/day), then one sachet daily or every other day as needed to keep the horse comfortable (2.2 mg/kg/day).
Ponies weighing 225 kg (500 lbs): One sachet (4.4 mg/kg/day) every other day. Adjust the dosage according to body weight. Discontinue treatment if no response is observed after four to five days of treatment. Equiplazone 1 gram powder should be mixed with a small amount of Food.

Storage: Do not store above 25°C. Store in a dry place.
