GIGASEPT® FF, 2 Liters, Antiseptic for Endoscopes GIGASEPT® FF, 2 Liters is a high-level concentrated product free from formaldehyde, designed for cleaning and disinfecting flexible and rigid endoscopes and other sensitive medical instruments. It offers a broad spectrum of antimicrobial efficacy while maintaining excellent compatibility with a wide range of materials.

Main Benefits

Excellent compatibility with materials such as metals, rubber, glass, porcelain, and plastics, as well as flexible and rigid endoscopes and ultrasound probes
Broad microbiological spectrum covering bacteria, mycobacteria, fungi, enveloped viruses (such as HIV, HBV, and HCV), tuberculosis, and spores
Formaldehyde-free formulation for safe handling and reduced risk of harmful emissions
Economical use as the working solution remains effective for up to 14 days when used to disinfect pre-cleaned instruments

Composition

Every 100 gm of concentrate contains approximately 93.9 gm of the reaction product of dimethoxy tetrahydrofuran (DMO-THF), ethanol, and water (Gigasept® FF “new” formulation)
Alternatively, in some formulations: 11.9 gm of succinic acid dialdehyde and 3.2 gm of dimethoxy tetrahydrofuran per 100 gm of concentrate

Instructions for Use

This is a concentrated product to be diluted with cold water to the appropriate working concentration. A common example is preparing a 6% solution by mixing 60 ml of concentrate with 940 ml of water. Soak the endoscopes and instruments ensuring all surfaces, including cavities, are covered. After the contact time, rinse the instruments thoroughly with at least drinking-quality water or, preferably, sterile or deionized water. The working solution remains effective for up to 14 days when used only to disinfect pre-cleaned instruments. Always follow the reprocessing instructions provided by the instrument manufacturer.
