This year-round maintenance formula meets the nutritional requirements of healthy, non-breeding, and non-molting birds, including lorikeets, cockatiels, lovebirds, conures, Pigeons, and other small to medium-sized birds. The adult lifetime formula can be offered after the bird completes a high-potency diet program for 6 months. It is also suitable for birds with specific dietary sensitivities.

Storage: Harrison's bird products do not contain artificial preservatives. Once opened, they should be consumed within 8 weeks. Storing the Food in the refrigerator or freezer helps maintain its freshness.

Feeding Directions:

  • Offer fresh Food daily, and do not "top off" with new Food.
  • To help reduce waste, serve the Food as separate meals.
  • Birds can eat as much as they want, but use the Menu below as a guide.

Approximate amounts of Food for adult lifetime fine (ALF) and additional foods:

  • Budgies: 1.5 - 3 grams (1 - 2 teaspoons) of ALF and ½ - 1 teaspoon of additional foods
  • Cockatiels / Lovebirds: 2 - 5 grams (1.5 - 3 teaspoons) of ALF and ½ - 1 teaspoon of additional foods
  • Conures: 3 - 7 grams (2 - 4 teaspoons) of ALF and 1 - 1.5 teaspoons of additional foods
  • Lorikeets* / Conures: 5 - 9 grams (3 - 5 teaspoons) of ALF and 1 - 2 teaspoons of additional foods
  • Pigeons: 5 - 15 grams (½ - 1.5 tablespoons) of ALF and 1 - 2 teaspoons of additional foods
  • Mynahs: 20 - 100 grams (2 - 10 tablespoons) of ALF and 1 - 6 teaspoons of additional foods

*For lorikeets, soak the formula in 2 tablespoons of water and ½ teaspoon of corn syrup.

Feeding additional items: Harrison's products should make up 75-80% of your bird's diet. It is recommended that 15-20% of the overall diet volume be high-quality, preferably organic, vegetables and fruits. Dark yellow foods or dark leafy greens, such as sweet potatoes, carrots, squash, broccoli, parsley, spinach, mango, or papaya, are most beneficial. It is recommended that 5% of the overall diet volume be high-quality, preferably organic foods that provide a rich source of Omega-3. Examples include chia seeds, hemp seeds, flax seeds, or some nuts. See this article for more information on the reasons and benefits of including these items.

It is not recommended to supplement the diet with vitamins or other complementary products for birds or animals.

[For birds suspected of having iron storage disease: Avoid citrus fruits, tomatoes, kiwi, strawberries, and other foods containing vitamin C. Avoid grapes, raisins, animal liver, red meats, egg yolks, or dark leafy greens like spinach, which may contain high levels of iron.]
