Cross Foam Dressing is a wound dressing made of absorbent, hydrophilic foam, covered with a thin, microporous, bacteria-resistant cover. The dressing is non-adhesive. Cross Foam Dressing "breathes" to allow oxygen in, while transferring moisture vapor away from the wound. This enables the provision of a "moist wound environment," which encourages autolytic debridement and wound healing. Indications for Cross Foam Dressing: • Flat or shallow wounds • Wounds with a moderate level of exudate • Infected wounds (with regular monitoring) Key Features: • Quick and easy to apply • Foam expands upon absorbing exudate - conforms to shallow wound cavities • Non-adhesive foam - reduces pain and disruption of new cell growth when changing the dressing • Excellent fluid handling capabilities - usage duration up to 7 days • Easy removal from sensitive skin - use water/saline to ease adhesive • Water and bacteria-resistant foam cover - protects the patient from cross-contamination • Has a good fluid handling profile and absorbs more than 13 grams/10 cm². Clinical Evidence: "Cross Foam Dressing is easy to use, and its high fluid handling capacity makes it a cost-effective dressing that can enhance the quality of life for patients with high exudate wounds." Packages containing the dressings have individual seals in separable conditions.
